Having brand new carpeting installed in your home can be a wonderful feeling. It gives new life to the room in which the carpeting is installed. Step #1: Avoid unnecessary spills. It’s a good idea to get in the habit of not allowing people to bring food or other beverages into the room where the new carpeting is, at least for a while. Many people do this for the first few weeks and then relent, but keep that in mind that every little piece of food particle that gets dropped onto the carpeting and gets embedded into the fiber is one more thing that’s going to make it look dirty over time.
Step #2: Invest in a powerful vacuum. A HEPA filter vacuum, especially a bagless one, is a much better option than the traditional bag vacuums.
