Here’s the scenario: you purchased new carpets last year and swore you are going to do whatever it took to make sure they looked great for many years to come. You may have purchased a vacuum cleaner brand-new at the same time.
Yet, as the months progressed, you noticed the carpets not looking quite their best.
There could be a number of reasons for this, including the amount of traffic you have in your home, the amount of dirt that gets tracked in, and even the type of vacuum cleaner you actually chose.
There are many different vacuum cleaners that can be highly effective at helping to get the maximum amount of dirt and dust up from your carpets. Even though some of those vacuum cleaners look the same as the more expensive brands, anything less than $100 is going to have a small motor, little power, and not the kind of suction you want to.
Dirt gets caught in the carpet fibers.
Keep in mind that dirt is going to get caught in the carpet fibers. The more you walk around on those carpets, the more you’re pressing the dirt deeper into the carpet pile. When that happens, you’re going to need a significant amount of power to get it up. That means investing in a quality vacuum cleaner.
It’s not too late to get a vacuum cleaner that is going to do your carpets justice, but even if you get the top-of-the-line residential vacuum cleaner, you still need to have them professionally cleaned at least once a year. Ideally, every six months you should have your carpets cleaned by a professional company that has truck mounted equipment.
If you think about getting brand-new carpets, make sure you invest in a quality vacuum cleaner. If you have one of the top-of-the-line models and it’s a few years old, it should be more than good enough, as long as you have your carpets professionally cleaned every six months.
